Al-Sharaa sparks social media debate with smart response to "lack of confidence in him"

Activists on social media circulated a video clip of Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, showing the way he responded to a question during a press conference alongside French President Emmanuel Macron during his visit to Paris.

Al-Sharaa was asked about the claim that "the French today do not trust you, considering you are a former leader of an extremist group," and its connection to terrorist attacks in France.

In the video clip, Al-Sharaa responded, saying, "We stand in solidarity with every victim who has fallen as a result of terrorist mischief. Syria has been the country most exposed to terrorism. Syria has been bombed with chemical barrels, and the Syrian people, unfortunately, inhaled many chemical weapons. Many of them drowned at sea while trying to reach Europe, fleeing the terrorism practiced against them by the criminal regime."

Al-Sharaa continued, saying, "As for us, we have no connection or hand in any criminal act that occurred in Europe or anywhere else outside Syria. Our goal was clear and focused on the criminal regime, and we confronted it with honor and integrity.

We even sought to ensure that no civilian was harmed while fighting the regime. In the liberation battle that we waged, in which most of Syria was liberated, we prevailed over the people with forgiveness, pardon, and pardon, and the entire Syrian people became safe. We did not target villages or towns, unlike what the regime did." The criminal..."

Al-Sharaa added: "If you're talking about people who committed criminal acts within Europe, then that's not what we're talking about at all. Rather, we carried out our combat operations with honor and integrity, fulfilling our mission to the fullest extent possible until Syria was liberated and we saved the entire region from the inevitable terrorism that weighed heavily on the Syrians and the region. The effects of the terrorism practiced by the regime in Syria inevitably reached Europe, including the terrorism that previously afflicted France."
