Damascus, July 3 (SANA) Syria’s Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) said on Friday that it arrested one of the country’s most prominent drug traffickers during a security operation in the town of Nasib in Daraa province, seizing large quantities of narcotics and weapons.
DEA said in a statement the arrest followed surveillance and intelligence gathering that identified the man’s location. A security force subsequently carried out a raid that led to his arrest and the seizure of 15,960 Captagon pills, 5,560 narcotic pharmaceutical tablets, as well as medium-caliber weapons and ammunition.
