Damascus, Sep. 15 (SANA) Syrian Arab Army Border Guard forces thwarted on Tuesday an attempt to smuggle quantities of drugs from Lebanon into Syrian territory, including Captagon, hashish, methamphetamine and marijuana.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt smuggling routes and prevent illicit drugs from reaching Syrian territory and local markets.
Earlier on Saturday, border guards announced that they have seized 32 kilograms of hashish and a shipment containing around 194,000 Captagon since the beginning of September in separate operations.
