(Zaman Al Wasl)- Activists reported on Friday that Syrian regime forces backed by Shiite militants have recaptured hills were controlled by rebels days ago in the south of Syrian capital.
Abu Hamza al-Shami, local activist, assured that rebels who controlled Tal Merie, Deir maker and al-Danaji have retreated after fierce fighting with the Shiite fighters who become the back bone of all military operations in Damascus, Daraa and Quneitra.
The activist has accused rebel factions of abandoning fighters in the west countryside of Damascus, leaving them alone without reinforcement what enables regime to advance again.
Al-Shami said Assad force have also imposed sever siege on Kanaker town in the western countryside. Residents are not allowed to leave the town, he added.
Assad's forces press hard to grip the siege on Kanaker in similar scenario to neighboring embattled town surrounding Damascus, al-Shami said.
Meanwhile, the fight is still ongoing in al-Habariya, Tal Sarjeh and Hamreet neat Kanaker town.
