(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian resistance in Homs northern countryside announced on Tuesday killing of General Riyad Asef Younes, the regime operation chief in Hama southern countryside and the chief of military campaign on al-Zara and Harbanfecseh, local sources reported.
Zaman al-Wasl reporter in Homs countryside said fierce clashes went on during Monday night on al-Zara front between Syrian resistance and regime forces, adding, it is likely the General Younes was killed with a number of his personnel while they were trying to recapture al-Zara.
The reporter pointed out the killing operation of Younes came less than 48 hours after regime launched offensive with Ahmad Sigati militia to recapture lost positions in al-Zara and Harbenafseh backed up by heavy aerial bombing.
The Syrian resistance foiled the 19 offensive so far since regime lost the positions 15 days ago and destroyed BMB vehicle and killed its crew. The resistance also killed and injured at least 15 regime personnel during the clashes.
The resistance also posted a photo of regime personnel under a destroyed tank during his flee from the battle.

Pro-regime media pages mourned Riyad Younes, from pro-regime village al-Rabiaa adjacent to Hama military airport. The village called by regime loyalists as mother of martyrs since it ranks first with number of killed for regime in Syria.
