The Drug Enforcement Department foiled an attempt to smuggle a large shipment of narcotics into the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, using balloons in the eastern countryside of Sweida southern province.
The department said Wednesday that the authorities seized 70 kilograms of hashish and 45,000 Captagon pills, along with equipment and tools used in the smuggling operation.
Last Saturday, the Syrian authorities have foiled an attempt to smuggle a shipment of narcotics out of the country during a security operation targeting a criminal network in the southern countryside of Quneitra.
