29 people injured in traffic accidents and fires across Syria in 24 hours

(SANA) Twenty-nine people were injured in traffic accidents and fires to which teams from the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management responded over the past 24 hours across Syria.

The Syrian Civil Defense said on its Telegram channel Thursday that its teams responded to 21 traffic accidents, which left 26 civilians injured. The teams provided first aid before transporting the injured to hospitals for treatment, cleared the accident sites and secured the affected areas.

Civil Defense teams also extinguished 124 fires across Syria, leaving three civilians injured, who received first aid. Damage was limited to property, the Civil Defense said.

The Civil Defense urged people not to light fires in forested areas or agricultural fields or throw cigarette butts or glass containers along roads, particularly near crops or forests. It also called on people to avoid burning dry grass around homes or along roads and to remove it using safe methods.
