People’s Protection Units (YPG) prevented the “Facts Finding Committee” formed by the Syrian National Coalition from entering the town of Tel Abyad after defeating the Islamic State (ISIS), activists told Zaman al-Wasl on Thursday.

Talks about the matter had calmed down, while the National coalition did nothing more than issuing a statement explaining that YPG had prevented them from entering the town, while sources reported that YPG demanded the National coalition to apologize for previously describing them as “terrorists” and practicing racial cleansing.

To see the development of the matter, Zaman al-Wasl on Monday 22nd June, contacted Riyadh al-Hassan, a member of the National Coalition and responsible for communication with Kurdish leaders, he confirmed that they were still at the boarders of the town of Tel Abyad waiting for YPG’s permission.

Al-Hassan refused to reveal who they had communicate with, as the newspaper wanted to contact them to see reason behind rejection.

On the other hand, Zaman al-Wasl contacted the spokesman of the YPG, Ridor Khalil, he confirmed that no application for entering the town from the National Coalition was sent.

Khalil diplomatically wondered in his reply: “how can they enter an area controlled by terrorists, didn’t the National Coalition describe us of terrorism?”

Zaman al-Wasl returned to Riyadh al-Hassan to reveal the side they contacted, but again he refused to reveal any information, saying that communications are on to find a solution.

When returning to Ridor Khalil, he insisted once again that no application to enter the town was forwarded to the YPG.

Therefore, the fact has lost between the national Coalition and YPG, as the former refused to reveal the side they contacted, while the later insisted on denying receiving any application to enter the town.

This matter highlights three queries for both the national Coalition and YPG. first, YPG has the right to question the National coalition how it describe them of terrorism, and then come to investigate in areas they control. Second, the name of the committee suggesting in advance that a crime had took place, and last, why the national Coalition decided to investigate displacing Arabs while did not think of investigate al-Shietat massacre which ISIS had committed.
