Freedom Is Our ABCs: Zaman Al Wasl celebrates new decade, logo

By Editor in-chief Fathi Ibrahim Bayoud

(Zaman Al Wasl)- As Zaman Al Wasl enters its second decade, more hopes and plans are yet to be made and achieved
in the electronic journalism.

Some of our main objectives are developing the investigative reporting, launching Zaman's online TV and making our newspaper
available for all readers taking advantage of the digital revolution.

Our new logo, the eight-pointed star, is one of the most prestigious characteristics of our Arabic and Islamic civilization, especially in Andalusia between 8th-15th centuries. The star, which decorates the walls Granada’s Alhambra palace and many Islamic architectural artifacts, is now Zaman Al Wasl's landmark.

'Zaman Al Wasl in Andalusia' phrase was also carved on
Alhambra's walls. It was a part of a well-known stanza written by Lisan ad-Din Ibn al-Khatib (1313-1374), an Arab polymath poet from the Emirate of Granada.

Our slogan has never changed and always will be 'Freedom Is Our ABCs'. Freedom Is Our Alphabet.

When Syrians went to streets in March 2011, they called for freedom. Their chant was broadly echoed in the sky before their air and ground being serried by warplanes and plumes of smoke.
