Loud booms heard in Saudi capital: Reuters witnesses
Four consecutive loud booms were heard in Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh Wednesday, Reuters witnesses said.

There was no immediate comment from Saudi authorities.

Shortly after the noises were heard, state television Al-Ekhbariya said Saudi Arabia's air defense forces intercepted two ballistic missiles above the capital Riyadh.

In recent months, Yemen's Houthis have targeted the Saudi capital several times with missiles the Saudi military has said it intercepted.
