(Zaman Al Wasl)- The Palestinian Liwa al-Quds militia has been recruiting young men in the Eastern Ghouta suburbs near the capital by offering 'attractive salaries', local activists said.
Abu Yassin Mando, senior commander in Liwa al-Quds and former commander in the Islam Army, has managed to recruit a large number of the Ghouta's youth.
The first batch of the newly recruited fighters was sent to the coastal region, activists said.
The pro-regime militia was formed in 2013 by Palestinians from the al-Nayrab district as well as the former refugee camp Handarat.
Liwa al-Quds is believed to be the largest loyalist auxiliary force operating in Aleppo.
Since Syrian revolution erupted in 2011, more than 360,000 people have been killed, and more than 6 million people have been displaced.
