(Zaman Al Wasl)- At least 10 regime forces killed and wounded in rocket attack on an army base in the Ghab Plain in Hama province, rebel group said Friday.
The attack on Jourin Camp, main stronghold for the army and allied militias in Hama, followed heavy airstrikes by the Russian warplanes left two people killed in the de-escalation zone northwest Syria, according to statement by local rebel group.
Thursday's attacks targeted the Khan Shaykhun and Altmanah districts, along with the villages of Maherdabsa, Pekkaria and Khan al-Sabeel in Idlib province, Anadolu Agency said.
The villages of Hawija, Qastoun and Al-Zaqqum in Hama province were also targeted, according to the White Helmets agency.
Last September, Turkey and Russia agreed to turn Idlib and parts of Hama into a de-escalation zone in which acts of aggression would be strictly prohibited.
Syria has only just begun to emerge from a devastating conflict that began in 2011, when the Assad regime cracked down on demonstrators with unexpected severity.
