Assad regime to sell oil derivatives to embassies, organizations in dollars

The state-run Mahrukat Company, one of the public sector oil companies, will sell oil and gas derivatives to embassies, international organizations and diplomatic bodies exclusively in dollars and at prices different from their prices in the local market.

The price of a liter of diesel fuel was set at $1.4, 90-octane gasoline at $1.5, 95-octane gasoline at $1.7, a domestic gas cylinder at $15 and industrial gas at $25, Mahrukat company detailed in its new decision.

Paying the price of oil derivatives will be exclusively through the Central Bank of Syria, "Mahrukat" stated, noting that this will contribute to supplying the state treasury with foreign exchange.

With regard to other facilities, Al-Aleij pointed out that the Latakia Fuel Company branch was subjected to several damages, represented by the destruction of reinforced concrete at the aircraft fueling station at Bassel al-Assad Airport, with cracks appearing in the columns of the vertical tanks, and significant damage to the bases of the columns of the first and second tanks.

In Tartous, the damage affected the cement bases of gas tanks in the Baniyas gas unit, and Shima gas tanks, where the value of the damage is estimated at about $10 million.
