Official document reveals arrest of two Syrian children in Moscow and their transfer to a social care center in 2023

Zaman al-Wasl obtained a copy of an official document issued by the Syrian Ministry of Interior of the ousted regime; dated June 13, 2023, revealing the arrest of two Syrian children in Moscow #Russia, namely Mohamed al-Ubaid and Rama al-Ubaid, along with their mother.

The document, classified under the item "Top Secret and Immediate", is addressed to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor - Directorate of Social Policies, and sheds light on the fate of the two children after their arrest under mysterious circumstances.

The document states that the two children were arrested by the Russian authorities after they attempted to cross the border illegally.

According to the correspondence of the Ministry of Interior, they were later transferred to a social care center in Moscow, where they live under the supervision of a specialized committee until their case is decided.

The document indicates that the Syrian Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor received an official report regarding the situation of the two children, which prompted it to coordinate with the Syrian Ministry of Interior to verify their identities and the circumstances surrounding their detention.

The document confirms that the Russian authorities are still holding the two children in the care center, awaiting further instructions from the Syrian side.

The document includes several signatures and handwritten notes from high-ranking officials in the Syrian Ministry of Interior, reflecting the importance and sensitivity of the issue.

The seal of the office of the Deputy Minister of Interior also appears, confirming that the issue is being closely monitored by multiple government agencies.

This issue raises many questions about the fate of Syrian children abroad, especially those who find themselves in complex legal situations due to their escape from the brutality of the deposed regime.

The document also opens the door to questions about the role of child care centers in Russia and the extent of their involvement in the "mystery of the fate of Syrian children"...

So far, the fate of Muhammad Rama remains pending, as the newspaper has not been able to find out their fate.

Were they transferred to a care home in Syria? Are they still in Moscow, strangers to their homeland? And what is the fate of the mother?
