Tartous, July 17 (SANA) Tartous Grand Festival opened on Friday on the city’s waterfront promenade, bringing together dozens of Syrian companies in a two-week event aimed at supporting the summer tourism season and attarcting local economic activity.
Organized under the patronage of Tartous Governorate and the City Council, the festival features 66 national companies offering a wide range of products, including clothing, food, household goods and cleaning supplies at discount prices.
Mahmoud al-Shami, representing Tartous city administration, told SANA that the festival is an important initiative for 2026 summer season, helping attract visitors while supporting local businesses through promotional offers and broad participation from Syrian companies.
The Festival organizer, Mohammad Shallati, said the event will run for 14 days, with exhibitors offering wholesale prices and discounts ranging from 20 to 50 percent.
He added that visitors can also enjoy daily competitions, gifts and entertainment activities.
Participant companies said the festival provides an opportunity to showcase their products, strengthen direct engagement with customers and expand their market reach through exclusive promotional offers.
The Visitors welcomed the variety of products and competitive prices, saying the festival helps families access essential goods at lower costs while creating a lively summer atmosphere on the coast .
