Israeli occupation forces detain five civilians in northern Quneitra incursions

Quneitra, Oct. 31 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces detained four civilians on Saturday during an incursion along the road connecting the village of Ofania and the town of Khan Arnabah, and another civilian in the village of al-Hurriya in northern Quneitra countryside, bringing the total number of detainees to five.

SANA’s reporter in Quneitra said an Israeli occupation force consisting of eight military vehicles advanced along the Ofania–Khan Arnabah road, set up a checkpoint, and detained four civilians who were harvesting olives.

The reporter noted that the occupation forces released two of the detainees while withdrawing, transferring the other two into the al-Hamidiyah point, which was established after the fall of the deposed regime.

Another Israeli occupation force consisting of five military vehicles advanced into the village of al-Hurriya in northern Quneitra countryside and set up a checkpoint before withdrawing from the area.

Earlier on Saturday, Israeli occupation forces advanced into al-Hurriya village, detained a resident after searching several civilian homes, and set up a checkpoint prior to withdrawing.

The Israeli occupation continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, raiding civilian homes, conducting arrests, bulldozing land, and carrying out artillery attacks.

Syria consistently demands the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from its territory, affirming that all measures taken by the occupation are null and void with no legal effect under international law, and calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities and compel Israel to fully withdraw from southern Syria.
