Israeli Occupation forces target two areas in Quneitra Countryside

Quneitra, Oct. 23 (SANA)  Israeli occupation forces shelled areas around the town of Hamidiya in northern Quneitra countryside and Bir Ajam woodland in the southern countryside with several artillery rounds on Friday, causing no injuries.

SANA’s correspondent in Quneitra reported that Israeli forces fired an artillery shell that landed in Bir Ajam woodland in the southern countryside, with no injuries reported.

Earlier on Friday, Israeli forces advanced west of Zaaroura farm in southern Quneitra countryside and completely closed several roads on the western side, disrupting traffic.

On Thursday, a force comprising six military vehicles and several soldiers advanced into al-Hurriya village in northern Quneitra countryside and searched several residents’ homes. The force also advanced to the outskirts of Hamidiya and blew up an abandoned house.

Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, raids on civilian homes, arrests, land leveling and artillery attacks.

Syria continues to call for the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, stressing that all measures taken by Israel are null and void and have no legal effect under international law. Syria has also urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and compel Israel to withdraw completely from southern Syria.
