Syrian airstrikes kill 6 people in northern Homs: rescuing group
(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime air strikes killed 6 civilians and wounded dozen in a de-escalation zone in central Homs province, rescuing group said Monday.

The White Helmets organization said the strikes targeted the town of al-Za'faraneh in the northern countryside.

In the past 48 hours, at least 14 people were killed in the rebel-held areas in Homs as the regime fighter jets conducted more than 60 raids, according to Zaman al-Wasl reporter.

Rebels on Sunday thwarted major attack by regime army and allied militias in eastern Homs, leaving 20 troops were killed and wounded.

Homs was an opposition stronghold in Syria war, but fell to government forces in 2015.

Russia’s defense ministry and opposition agreed to set up a “de-escalation” zone in northern Homs last August. Such a fragile ceasefire comes under several violations by the regime forces.
