President Ahmad al-Sharaa arrived at the Presidential Complex in Ankara on Wednesday.
Upon his arrival at Ankara Esenboğa Airport, President al-Sharaa was welcomed by Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat and several Turkish officials.
The visit coincides with the 36th NATO Summit, which is being held in Ankara on July 7-8 and hosted by Türkiye, as the alliance faces a range of regional and global security challenges.
Several leaders are attending the summit, including U.S. President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and the leaders of Finland, Slovakia, Italy, Canada, Bulgaria, Albania and Montenegro.
